Can I get my own room?
Yes, Headwaters offers elegantly appointed private rooms/bathrooms and custom-designed guest suites to ensure maximum comfort and privacy.
What is the living situation like?
The living situation consists of private, luxury accommodations in elegantly appointed suites. The campus offers a secluded, resort-like setting on 14 acres of lush botanical gardens, not a hospital or institutional environment.
Who else will be in treatment with me?
You will be in a small, exclusive group of 8 or less individuals. Headwaters treats executives, professionals, high-profile clients, men, women, and young adults.
How long will I be there?
The typical length of treatment is 30 to 45 days. Flexible extended care options are also available based on individual clinical needs.
Does this program use the 12-steps?
The program incorporates 12-Step principles and offers access to AA/NA meetings as a component of its comprehensive treatment approach, alongside other clinical and holistic therapies.
Who provides care here?
Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team of master's and PhD-level therapists, board-certified addiction physicians, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and other medical professionals. The center emphasizes exceptional staff-to-patient ratios with close attention from staff. Every patient at Headwaters participates in a minimum of two individual therapy sessions and one family therapy session weekly. Based on individual needs, additional sessions may be included. Our one-on-one care offers a confidential space to address personal challenges with licensed therapists and psychologists.
Are family visits allowed?
The program includes "Family Healing" services and dedicated therapy sessions. For specific policies regarding general family visitation, it is best to contact the admissions team directly. We also offer a specialized family program tailored to support children aged 7-12, helping them understand addiction in a safe, age-appropriate way.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
Yes - Permitted only in designated areas. Note: Vaping devices must be non-refillable.
Is Suboxone (MAT) permitted?
Headwaters incorporates Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to ensure a safe and effective recovery journey. MAT combines FDA-approved medications with comprehensive therapy, addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction.
Is this a closed facility?
Headwaters at Origins operates with open access for residents, supports electronic communication, and encourages freedom of movement within its private enclave, rather than imposing traditional security-level restrictions.
Is the program faith-based?
No; while the center welcomes clients from all spiritual backgrounds, it is not described as an explicitly faith-based program. We recommend discussing any spiritual needs with the admissions team.
What should I bring with me?
Pack a week's worth of comfortable and casual clothing, sleepwear, along with any seasonal outerwear. Bring all prescription medications in their original containers, your photo ID, and insurance cards. For toiletries, pack essential items like an alcohol-free toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap, ensuring all products are new and unopened. You are generally encouraged to bring a journal, pens, books, and printed photos of loved ones, but you should leave behind all valuables, illegal substances, weapons, and any products containing alcohol.
