Frequently Asked Questions
Program & Treatment
Why choose us? What makes it different than other addiction treatment centers?
They offer personalized treatment plans, a compassionate and experienced team, a supportive community, and a holistic approach that treats the whole person, not just the addiction. They focus on providing the tools and support needed for lasting recovery in an intimate, non-institutional setting.
What substance use disorder treatment programs do you offer?
We offer a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with a sober living housing option (6 days/week), and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) available 5 days or 3 days a week, also with a housing option.
How do you treat dual diagnosis / co-occurring disorders?
Rubicon Recovery Center treats dual diagnosis by addressing both the substance use disorder and any co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously through an integrated treatment approach.
What types of therapies do you use in your addiction treatment programs?
They use various evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), individual counseling, group therapy, and holistic approaches like yoga and mindfulness.
Does this program use the 12-steps?
The core program is clinically-focused, but 12-Step participation is offered and encouraged. Clients are taken to outside meetings for various pathways including AA, NA, CA, SMART Recovery, and Refuge Recovery. Meetings are also held on-campus weekly.
Is the program faith-based?
No, the program is clinically focused and not based in any specific faith, making it welcoming to individuals of all beliefs.
How long has this facility been open?
Rubicon Recovery Center was founded and began offering services in 2024.
What is the difference between inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment?
Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level, where you live 24/7 at the facility receiving constant care. Outpatient is less intensive, where you live at home and visit for therapy. Rubicon's PHP with housing is a supportive middle ground: you attend intensive, full-day therapy at the clinical center, then return to a separate, supervised sober living house in the evenings, blending structure with growing independence.
Cost & Admission
What will my costs be for treatment?
Costs vary. Self-pay estimates are: PHP is approximately $22,000 for 30 days (including housing). A 5-day/week IOP program is about $12,000 per month, while a 3-day/week IOP is about $6,000 per month. For self-pay IOP clients, housing is an additional $200 per week. Please call for an exact quote.
Do you accept insurance for substance use disorder treatment?
Yes, they are a private facility accepting most major PPO insurance plans on an out-of-network basis. They do not accept Medicaid. Their team can help verify your benefits and explain coverage.
Do you provide detoxification services?
No, Rubicon does not provide medical detox on-site. However, they offer detox placement services, coordinating with trusted partner facilities to ensure a safe and smooth transition into their care.
Is Suboxone (MAT) permitted?
Yes, MAT with medications like Suboxone or Subutex is supported on a case-by-case basis, depending on the client's needs and goals. The clinical team prefers to help clients taper off all medications when appropriate. They do not prescribe methadone.
Daily Life & Rules
How long will I be there? What is the length of a residential stay?
The typical length of stay for the main PHP with housing program is 30 to 45 days. The duration of the IOP program can be longer and varies based on individual progress and needs.
What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?
The living situation is apartment-style. Clients live in gender-specific sober living apartments. All rooms are semi-private, meaning you will share a room and a bathroom with one other roommate. Private rooms are not available.
Is this a closed/locked facility?
No, it is not a locked facility. It is a voluntary program where you are supervised 24/7 and cannot leave the property on your own. If you choose to leave, you can, but you will be discharged from the program.
Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?
Yes, smoking, vaping, and chewing tobacco are permitted in designated outdoor areas. Regarding electronics, there is a 3-day blackout period upon arrival. After that, you may have your phone and use it during non-programming hours in the evenings at the apartments.
What should I bring?
You should plan to bring essentials for building a stable life. This includes comfortable clothing for therapy, leisure, and potential job interviews; personal hygiene items; an alarm clock; and any approved medications. Personal items that support recovery like journals and books are also a good idea.
What should I leave at home?
Leave behind anything that could compromise recovery. This includes drugs, alcohol, products containing alcohol (like mouthwash), and weapons. It's also wise to leave valuables, large amounts of cash, and items with explicit or drug-related imagery at home.
What is the layout of the campus?
The program uses a dual-location model. Clinical therapy and programming take place at a professional office building (the clinic), while clients live in separate, gender-specific sober living apartments nearby.

Who will be in treatment with me? What is their occupancy?
