How long will I be there?
The typical length of stay in our residential program is 30 days. This duration allows sufficient time for detox, stabilization, and deep therapeutic work.
What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?
The living quarters are comfortable and rustic, in a cabin-style setting. All rooms are semi-private, meaning you will share a room with a roommate. We do not offer private rooms.
Is smoking/vaping allowed?
Yes, smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas during specified break times.
Can I use my phone/laptop? Is there WiFi?
No, personal cell phones and laptops are not permitted to ensure you can fully focus on your recovery. Phones are locked away upon admission. Supervised use can be arranged for essential matters, and facility landlines are available for use after an initial 7-day blackout period.
What should I bring?
Pack about a week's worth of comfortable, casual clothing, supportive shoes, personal hygiene items, and any prescribed medications. You may also bring a journal, reading material, and your preferred smoking/vaping supplies if applicable.
What should I leave at home?
Please leave valuables, non-prescribed medications, weapons, alcohol or drugs, inappropriate clothing, and personal electronics at home to maintain a safe and focused treatment environment.
What is the layout of the campus?
Our facility is situated on a 50-acre campus with plenty of space for outdoor therapy and recreation, including hiking trails and sports courts, all centered around our main cabin-style buildings.
Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?
Our medical care is provided by a team of Nurse Practitioners and nurses, under the supervision of a Medical Director. We do not have psychiatrists on staff, but our team is fully equipped to handle medical detox and co-occurring disorders.
Who will be in treatment with me? What is the occupancy?
You will be in a community of up to 70 adult men and women from diverse backgrounds, including clients with private insurance and those covered by WV Medicaid. This mix creates a rich and supportive peer environment.
Are family visits allowed? What is the family involvement?
We do not permit in-person family visits. However, we encourage family involvement through scheduled video calls, and our therapists will work with you to maintain healthy communication with your loved ones.
What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?
While we do not offer our own outpatient or sober living programs, our team provides comprehensive aftercare planning. We will assist you in creating a solid discharge plan and connecting you with appropriate step-down levels of care.
