What should I bring?
Bring: Pack clothing and undergarments for up to seven days that is appropriate, comfortable, non-revealing, and functional for both day and night use, indoors and outdoors, considering the current season's weather—a sweater, sweatshirt, or jacket is recommended. Include comfortable shoes suitable for multiple uses (both closed-toed and open-toed options are recommended), socks, and shower shoes. Bring important documents including your driver's license or state-issued ID, health insurance card, and prescription/pharmacy card. You may bring money (cash or card) for pharmacy fees, nicotine products, or other highly specific items you may need. Unopened nicotine products that do not contain THC are permitted, as is prescription medication in its original packaging that is not controlled and not expired. Pack your toiletries, and if desired, bring reading, writing, and leisure materials such as a journal, notebook, sketchbook, activity books (coloring, word search, crosswords, sudoku), books, magazines, or an e-reader tablet without internet access. An MP3 player without internet access (with music preloaded prior to arrival), headphones, and chargers are also allowed, along with an extra pillow or special blanket if desired. Note that bedding, laundry services, meals, snacks, activity materials, and basic toiletries are all provided onsite, and nicotine runs are made at least twice weekly for purchases with your cash or card.
What should I leave at home?
Leave at home: Do not bring aerosol products (air fresheners, cleaning products, hairspray), body spray, colognes, perfumes, candles, or incense. Electronic devices with internet access—including digital cameras, laptops, smartwatches, and tablets—are prohibited. Avoid bringing excessive or expensive personal items, and leave behind any food, drinks, or candy as three home-cooked meals and 24/7 snacks are provided. Inappropriate personal items that depict drug or alcohol use, use explicit language or images, or are revealing or sexual are not permitted. Do not pack multivitamins or supplements (these are provided onsite, with specific requests accommodated pending medical provider approval), opened nicotine products, personal items with alcohol listed as one of the first three ingredients, pornographic materials, sex toys, or weapons of any kind (guns, knives, pepper spray, sharp objects). Prescription medication that is not in its original packaging, is controlled, or is expired should not be brought unless you have written permission from a member of the Admissions team; otherwise, such medications may be destroyed or disposed of according to facility policies. Any inappropriate personal items you bring may be locked up for the duration of treatment and returned to you at discharge.
