Daily Life, Rules & Family

How long will I be there?

The typical length of stay in our residential program is 30 days. Longer stays may be recommended based on individual clinical needs.

What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?

Clients live in comfortable, home-like condos on our 27-acre campus. All rooms are shared with roommates to foster peer support and accountability; private rooms are not available.

Is this a closed/locked facility?

No, our program is voluntary, and it is not a locked facility. Clients can enjoy outdoor spaces for breaks but are expected to adhere to the program schedule and remain on the property unless on an approved outing.

Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?

Smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas. To help clients focus on recovery, personal cell phones and laptops are not allowed. After a one-week blackout period, clients have access to landline phones to contact family.

What should I bring?

Please bring one form of personal identification, insurance cards, music players without cameras or internet capability, spending money for vending machines ($1 bills needed and please do not bring more than $50), sunscreen, workout clothing and appropriate shoes, postage stamps, laundry pods, personal toiletries, an umbrella, appropriate pictures that provide comfort and a sense of “home,” a personal alarm clock, a flashlight with batteries, a variety of season-appropriate clothing (only 5–7 days’ worth), and sealed vapes and cigarettes (enough to last 30 days). Note: clothing cannot promote drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. Most importantly, bring hope and a good sense of humor.

What should I leave at home?

Do not bring electronics of any kind outside of an MP3 player, perfumes, colognes, nail polish or nail polish remover, weapons of any kind, cleaning solutions, loose tobacco or rolling papers, candles or incense, valuables or expensive belongings, pornographic or violent materials of any kind, alcohol or illegal drugs, or any outside food or drinks.

Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?

Our multidisciplinary team includes a medical doctor who oversees detox, nurses, and licensed counselors. While we do not have a psychiatrist on staff, we have a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner available to manage mental health needs.

Who will be in treatment with me?

You will be in treatment with other co-ed adults (18+) who have private insurance and are seeking recovery from addiction. Our facility has a capacity of 56 beds, creating a close-knit and supportive peer community. Housing and most groups are gender-specific.

What is the family involvement and visitation policy?

To ensure clients remain focused on their intensive treatment, we do not offer on-site family visitation. Family members can provide support through phone calls after the initial blackout period.

What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?

We provide comprehensive discharge planning, which includes referrals to trusted outpatient programs, therapists, and sober living environments to ensure a smooth transition and continued support after you leave our care.
