Outpatient treatment, on the other hand, allows you to live at home while attending scheduled therapy sessions at a clinic or center — anywhere from a few hours a week to daily programs. It offers more flexibility for work, school, or family responsibilities, but also requires stronger self-discipline since you remain in your regular environment. Outpatient programs range from standard outpatient (a few hours weekly) to intensive outpatient (IOP) or partial hospitalization (PHP), which provide more structured daily care without overnight stays.
