Yes, our program is grounded in a 12-Step philosophy. We offer on-site 12-Step meetings and strongly encourage clients to connect with local meetings, find a sponsor, and engage with the 12-Step community as part of their aftercare plan.

We use a blend of evidence-based and experiential therapies, including individual and group therapy, CBT, DBT, Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), psychodrama, equine therapy, art therapy, yoga, meditation, and innovative tools like neurofeedback in our Brain Center.

Yes, we provide medically supervised, on-site detoxification to ensure clients can begin their treatment process safely and comfortably.

Is Suboxone (MAT) permitted?

Yes, clients can be on Medication-Assisted Treatment like Suboxone upon admission. However, our clinical team will assess each case individually, and a tapering plan may be implemented as part of the treatment, consistent with our 12-Step recovery model.

Daily Life, Rules & Family

How long will I be there?

The average length of stay for our residential program is 30 days. Some clients may benefit from a longer stay, and we also offer an optional fifth week called "Recovery in Practice Week" to help with the transition back to daily life.

What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?

The living situation is comfortable and home-like in our southwestern-style facility. To foster peer support and community, all rooms are shared, and private rooms are not available.

Is this a closed/locked facility?

No, we have an open campus. Clients are free to walk the trails, use outdoor amenities, and take breaks outside. However, clients are expected to remain on the property and adhere to the structured daily schedule.

Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?

Yes, smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas. To help clients focus on recovery, personal electronics like phones and laptops are not allowed. After an initial one-week blackout period, clients are permitted to use a house phone.

What should I bring?

Please bring comfortable clothing for about a week, including athletic wear and swimwear. Also pack personal toiletries, prescription medications, and an ID. A journal is also recommended for personal work.

What should I leave at home?

Please leave all electronics (cell phones, laptops), valuables, weapons, non-prescribed medications, illegal substances, and outside food or drink at home to maintain a safe and focused treatment environment.

Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?

Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed therapists, and 24/7 on-site nursing staff. Many of our staff members are also in recovery, offering a unique level of empathy and understanding.

Who else will be in treatment with me?

Our program is for co-ed adults (18+) from diverse backgrounds, most of whom have private insurance. With a capacity of 42 clients, you will be part of an intimate and supportive community focused on healing.

What is the family involvement and visitation policy?

Family involvement is crucial. We host a 4-day family program during the third or fourth week of treatment. After the first 12 days, clients are eligible for family visits twice a week during designated hours.

What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?

We provide robust discharge planning, including referrals to our outpatient centers in Dallas, Austin, and Houston, our virtual IOP program, local 12-Step meetings, and sober living options to ensure a smooth transition and continued support.
