Frequently Asked Questions

Program & Treatment

What substance use disorder treatment programs do you offer?

We offer a full continuum of outpatient care, including a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a standard Outpatient Program, and Aftercare. We also provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and have specific programs for Men, Women, and Young Adults.

How long will I be there?

The typical length of engagement in our outpatient programs ranges from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on your individual clinical needs and progress. Since this is an outpatient program, you will live at home and attend treatment at our facility for a set number of hours each week.

How do you treat dual diagnosis / co-occurring mental disorders?

Yes, we specialize in dual diagnosis treatment. Our integrated approach addresses both substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders (like depression, anxiety, or trauma) at the same time, which is essential for successful, long-term recovery.

What types of therapies do you use?

We use a wide range of evidence-based and holistic therapies, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Experiential Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Group Therapy, Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Music Therapy, 12-Step Therapy, Yoga, and Grief Therapy.

Is Suboxone (MAT) permitted?

Yes, we offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. MAT can be a valuable tool for managing cravings and withdrawal symptoms, allowing clients to better engage in therapy.

Is the program faith-based or 12-Step oriented?

Our program is not faith-based, but we are inclusive of all spiritual beliefs. We do incorporate 12-Step therapy and principles as one of the many effective pathways to recovery we support.

Facility & Logistics

What is the difference between inpatient and your outpatient programs?

Inpatient treatment requires you to live at a facility 24/7. Our outpatient programs (PHP and IOP) allow you to live at home while attending structured therapy several times a week. PHP is more intensive (5-6 hours/day, 5 days/week), offering a high level of care, while IOP is more flexible (3-4 hours/day, 3-5 days/week), allowing you to balance treatment with work or school. The key difference is that outpatient care integrates recovery into your daily life from the start.

Can I use my phone or laptop? Is smoking allowed?

Yes, as an outpatient client, you maintain control of your personal belongings. Phone and laptop use is permitted outside of scheduled group and therapy sessions. Smoking and vaping are allowed in designated outdoor areas during breaks.

Do you provide detoxification services?

As an outpatient facility, we do not offer medical detox services. We can, however, refer you to and coordinate with trusted local detox centers to ensure you are medically stable before beginning our program.

Support & Staff

Who provides care here?

Our multidisciplinary team consists of licensed and certified professionals, including a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW-cc), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC), Certified Clinical Supervisors (CCS), and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADC).

Who else will be in treatment with me?

You will be in treatment with other adults who are also seeking recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. We serve a general population of clients with private insurance. The facility has specific groups for men, women, and young adults to create a more tailored and comfortable therapeutic environment.

What is the family involvement?

We strongly encourage family involvement through our Family Therapy program. Healing the family system is a critical component of sustainable recovery. These sessions help improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, and educate loved ones on how to best support your recovery journey.

What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?

Yes, we provide a dedicated Aftercare Program to ensure a smooth transition after completing PHP or IOP. This includes developing a detailed Relapse Prevention Plan and connecting you with ongoing support resources to help you maintain long-term sobriety.
