What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?
Clients live in our modern, 44-bed inpatient facility. All rooms are shared with one roommate to foster peer support. We do not offer private rooms.
Is this a closed/locked facility?
The facility is not locked, but it is a closed campus. Clients are expected to remain on the property for the duration of their inpatient stay. Leaving the grounds without permission will result in an Against Medical Advice (AMA) discharge.
Can I use my phone or laptop? Is there WiFi?
No, this is a technology-free facility to help clients focus completely on their recovery. There is an initial 72-hour communications blackout. Afterward, clients may use a facility landline phone during their downtime.
Is smoking/vaping allowed?
Smoking is allowed at Northpoint Recovery in designated areas. Chewing tobacco is limited to pouches and clients are required to bring their own unopened packs of cigarettes for use during their inpatient stays.
What should I bring with me?
You should bring about a week's worth of comfortable clothing and shoes, a jacket, and basic toiletries (non-aerosol and alcohol-free). You can also bring a pre-paid debit card for small purchases, a list of important phone numbers, and your ID and insurance card.
What should I leave at home?
You should leave valuables, electronics like laptops and tablets, revealing clothing, outside food and drinks, and any products containing alcohol at home.
Who else will be in treatment with me at your facility? What is their occupancy?
You will be in treatment with other adults (18+) from various backgrounds seeking help for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. The program is co-ed, and the facility has a 44-bed capacity.
Are family visits allowed?
Yes, family visits are encouraged and are scheduled on Sundays in one of two time slots: 1pm-3pm or 3pm-5pm.
