Levels of Care for Lasting Recovery
Virginia Recovery Centers offers structured programs that balance clinical intensity with real-world autonomy. Our levels of care are designed to provide robust support while empowering clients to practice recovery skills in a practical, community-integrated setting.
For clients requiring medically intensive detoxification from substances like alcohol or benzodiazepines, we facilitate a smooth transition to a partner hospital or detox facility. For other substances, we provide on-site, non-medical detox with comfort medications to ensure safety and stability before beginning clinical programming.
Typical Stay: 60 Days
Our core program combines intensive daily therapy (PHP) with the stability of supportive housing. Clients live in shared apartments with peers, attend groups at our clinical facility, and learn to manage daily responsibilities like cooking and budgeting, all within a structured and accountable recovery environment.
Program Length: 8-12 Weeks
IOP serves as a vital step-down level of care, providing several hours of group and individual therapy per week. This program is ideal for clients transitioning from residential care or those who need robust clinical support while living at home and managing work or school commitments. Supportive housing is available as an option for IOP clients.
Environment & Accommodations
Virginia Recovery Centers offers a unique treatment model centered around real-world living. Clients reside in comfortable, modern apartments, separate from the clinical facility where therapy and groups are held. This approach helps bridge the gap between treatment and independent life. With a total capacity of 50 beds, the program fosters a close-knit community while providing structured support. The program is co-ed, and clients share apartments with peers, promoting accountability and fellowship.
Clients live in fully-furnished apartments, sharing space with roommates. This setup encourages life skills like cooking, cleaning, and budgeting.
To foster peer support and accountability, all clients share a bedroom with a roommate. Private rooms are not available.
The program is co-ed, with clients attending clinical groups together. Housing arrangements are typically gender-specific within apartments.
