Daily Life, Rules & Family
How long will I be there?
The minimum recommended stay is 30 days, but the total length of treatment is individualized based on each client's specific needs and clinical progress.
What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?
Detox takes place in a clinical facility, while residential and sober living are in comfortable houses. You may have your own room during detox if one is available, but you will have roommates during the rest of treatment to foster peer support.
Is this a closed/locked facility?
No, our facility is not locked. It is a voluntary program where clients have access to outdoor yard space. While we strongly encourage clients to complete their treatment, they can choose to leave against medical advice (AMA).
Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?
Smoking/vaping is allowed in designated outdoor areas. To help clients focus on recovery, phones and laptops are not permitted during detox or the first 30 days of residential treatment. Access is determined by the clinical staff.
What should I bring? What should I leave at home?
Bring: Comfortable clothing for about a week, toiletries (alcohol-free), prescription medications in original bottles, ID and insurance card, a notebook, and photos of loved ones.
Leave at Home: Any products containing alcohol, weapons, inappropriate clothing, outside food/drink, and valuable jewelry. A detailed packing list will be provided by admissions.
Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?
Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team. An MD oversees all medications, with PRN nurses on site. Therapy groups are run by licensed counselors, and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) provide 24/7 support. We have psychiatric services available for evaluations and medication management.
Who will be in treatment with me?
Our program is co-ed for adults. You will be in a supportive community with peers who are also seeking recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders. We maintain small client populations: detox has a max of 10 clients, residential has 12, and outpatient groups have up to 20.
What is the family involvement and visitation policy?
Family involvement is a key part of our program. We offer family therapy sessions to help heal relationships. Visits are not permitted during the detox phase but are allowed afterward. Clients may also earn weekend passes once they reach a certain point in their treatment.
What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?
We offer comprehensive aftercare planning to ensure a smooth transition after treatment. This includes connections to our sober living homes, an active alumni program for ongoing peer support, and referrals to local resources.
