Clients live in a clinical inpatient facility. Rooms are dorm-style and shared with up to two other roommates. Private rooms and bathrooms are not available.
Is this a closed/locked facility?
No, it is an open campus and not a locked facility. However, clients are expected to remain on the property at all times. If a client walks off the property, they will be discharged from the program.
Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?
No, personal electronics like phones and laptops are not permitted. This is also a strictly non-smoking and tobacco-free facility; violation of this policy leads to discharge. Nicotine replacement products are encouraged.
What should I bring?
Bring about a week's worth of comfortable, modest clothing, personal toiletries, your ID and insurance card, and any prescribed medications in their original bottles. As it's a non-smoking facility, bring a supply of nicotine patches or gum if needed.
What should I leave at home?
Leave all electronics (phones, laptops), valuable items, weapons, non-prescribed medications, revealing clothing, and any outside food, drinks, or tobacco products at home.
Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?
Care is provided by a team of counselors and support staff. Medical oversight is provided by a doctor who is not on-site daily and a psychiatrist who is available via telehealth.
Who will be in treatment with me?
The program is co-ed for adults (18+) and has a capacity of 48 residents. The client population is diverse, including those with private insurance as well as those utilizing Nevada Medicaid and the sliding scale fee system.
What is the family involvement and visitation policy?
Family involvement is encouraged. Scheduled visitations with immediate family can be arranged on Sundays from 1-3 PM on a case-by-case basis. There is also a weekly Family Group Counseling session held on Sundays from 3-4 PM.
