A Gradual Path to Independence
Freedom Recovery's Dayton program is built on a long-term, step-down model of care that empowers clients to build autonomy and apply recovery skills while living in their own environment. The journey begins with intensive programming and evolves to support increasing levels of personal responsibility and community reintegration.
Total Program Length: Approx. 32 Weeks
The program begins with 12 weeks of intensive therapy, with options for morning groups (5 days/week) or evening groups (4 days/week). After the initial phase, clients gradually "step down," reducing their attendance by one day per month. This long-term, structured decrease in intensity allows individuals to return to and manage work, school, and family life while still receiving consistent clinical support. The entire process provides a seamless transition from intensive care to self-sufficient recovery.
Environment & Setting
The Freedom Recovery Dayton location is a professional and welcoming outpatient office. The environment is designed to be safe, confidential, and conducive to healing and personal growth. Instead of a residential campus, clients attend scheduled group therapy sessions at the clinical facility and return home afterward. This model allows individuals to directly apply the skills they learn in treatment to their daily lives. Group sizes are kept small, typically between 10-20 people, to foster a supportive and connected peer community.
Treatment takes place in a dedicated clinical facility, providing a structured and professional therapeutic environment.
Groups consist of 10-20 clients, ensuring everyone has an opportunity to share and receive personalized attention.
All clinical programming and group sessions are co-educational, serving adult men and women together.
Policies & Rules
Medication-Assisted Treatment is fully supported. Clients can continue on medications like Suboxone and Methadone during treatment.
Smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas during breaks.
Personal cell phones are allowed but must be silenced and put away during group therapy sessions to ensure focus and respect for others.
A strict zero-tolerance policy is in place for alcohol or illicit drug use. Random drug testing is conducted to ensure a safe environment.
