Core Programs for Lasting Recovery
Seekers of Serenity Place offers a focused, two-phase approach to addiction treatment. The journey begins with a safe, supervised detox and transitions seamlessly into an intensive residential program designed to build the skills and support network necessary for a sober life.
Typical Length: 5-7 Days
This program provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to withdraw from substances without medical intervention. Staff are on hand 24/7 to monitor comfort and safety. Clients needing medical detox will be referred to a hospital.
Length of Stay: 30 Days
The core of the treatment experience is a 30-day residential stay. This program is highly structured and incorporates daily 12-Step meetings, group counseling, individual therapy, and life skills education in a secure, substance-free facility.
Environment & Accommodations
Seekers of Serenity Place is housed in a converted nursing home, providing a structured, facility-based environment rather than a home-like setting. The single-story building is organized into wings, containing client rooms, common areas, dining hall, and offices. With a total capacity of 23 clients, the program maintains a close-knit community feel. While the program is co-ed, client rooms are gender-specific to ensure privacy and comfort.
The environment is clinical and structured, located in a single, secure building designed for client safety and program efficiency.
Clients are housed three to a room with shared bathrooms, fostering peer support and accountability throughout their stay.
While therapy groups and daily activities are co-ed, sleeping quarters are separated by gender to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
Policies & Rules
For the safety of all clients, the facility is locked. Clients may not leave the premises unless escorted by staff for approved appointments or activities.
Clients currently on Medication-Assisted Treatment (e.g., Suboxone) can continue their prescription, but the facility does not initiate or prescribe these medications.
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas during scheduled breaks. No loose tobacco or e-cigarettes are allowed.
Personal cell phones, laptops, and other electronics are strictly prohibited. A landline is available for 10-minute daily calls after a 7-day initial blackout.
Family visits are permitted on weekends. Additionally, there is a dedicated family day held every other Thursday to promote healing and support.
Items containing alcohol, inappropriate materials, electronics, and drug paraphernalia are not allowed. All belongings are searched upon admission.

Daily Life & Rules
Details on living arrangements, what to bring, and facility policies.
The standard length of stay for our residential program is 30 days. This follows a social detox period which typically lasts 5 to 7 days.
The living situation is in a structured, facility-style environment (a former nursing home). Private rooms are not available. Clients share a room with two other individuals of the same gender. Bathrooms are also shared.
Yes, for the safety and security of our clients, this is a locked facility. While treatment is voluntary and a client could choose to leave, they are not permitted to go outside unsupervised.
Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas during breaks. Personal electronics like cell phones and laptops are strictly prohibited to ensure focus on recovery. After a 7-day initial blackout period, you may use the facility's landline for one 10-minute call per day.
Bring: A completed physical form, a 30-day supply of all prescribed medications, 7 changes of comfortable clothing, pajamas, personal hygiene items (alcohol-free), and your insurance card.
Leave at home: Electronics (cell phones, radios), aerosol cans, products containing alcohol (perfume, some mouthwash), inappropriate reading material, drug/alcohol paraphernalia, nail polish, and e-cigarettes.
Inpatient addiction treatment means you live at the facility full-time, usually for 30–90 days, in a highly structured environment where your day is scheduled with therapy, group sessions, medical care, meals, and downtime; it feels immersive and supportive, but also restrictive since you’re away from home, work, and family. Outpatient treatment, on the other hand, lets you live at home and continue daily life while attending scheduled therapy and support sessions at a clinic several times a week; it feels more flexible and less disruptive, but also requires more self-discipline because you’ll still face your usual triggers and responsibilities outside of treatment.
The campus consists of a single-story building that was formerly a nursing home. It includes client wings with bedrooms and shared bathrooms, a dining hall, group rooms, offices, and designated outdoor areas.
