How long will I be there?

A typical stay for our detox and inpatient program is around 28 days, but the exact length is based on individual clinical needs and can be extended if necessary.

What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?

Detox and inpatient living is in a modern, campus-style facility, while PHP housing is in a separate house. All rooms are shared with roommates and include a shared bathroom. Private rooms are not available.

Is this a closed/locked facility?

No, it is an open campus. The facility is not locked, and clients are able to walk outside to designated areas for smoking or fresh air.

Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?

Yes, smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas. Phone use depends on your level of care: no personal cell phones in detox (staff can facilitate calls), one hour of access per day in residential, and regular access in PHP.

What should I bring? What should I leave at home?

Bring: When coming to treatment, bring about a week’s worth of clean, comfortable clothing, your personal ID and insurance cards, any necessary medications, and a journal. You may also bring unopened toiletries and make-up, sealed tobacco products, flip-flops, a bathrobe, secure shoes or sneakers, a few books, envelopes and stamps, and contact information for loved ones or other treatment providers.
Leave at home: Leave at home electronics such as laptops and tablets, weapons or sharp objects like razors or scissors, excessive money, jewelry, or clothing, books with themes that could negatively impact recovery, opened medications, products containing alcohol such as mouthwash or perfume, and any alcohol or illicit substances.

Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?

Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of addiction professionals. Yes, we have a psychiatrist on staff to oversee mental health care and medication management as part of our dual diagnosis program.

Who will be in treatment with me?

The program is co-ed for adults (18+). You will be in a community with up to 60 men and women from diverse backgrounds. While clinical groups are co-ed, living areas are always gender-specific.

What is the family involvement and visitation policy?

We strongly encourage family involvement through our family therapy program. In-person family visits can be arranged with the clinical team to support the healing process for everyone involved.

What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?

We offer a robust continuum of care, including step-down programs like PHP, IOP, and OP. We also have a strong Alumni program to provide ongoing peer support and connection after treatment is complete.
