Frequently Asked Questions

Program & Treatment

Why choose us? What makes it different than other addiction treatment centers?

Legacy Healing Center stands apart through our commitment to individualized care. Our team comprises seasoned professionals, many of whom have walked the path of recovery themselves, bringing unparalleled empathy and insight. With a comprehensive range of services and a steadfast commitment to excellence, we provide a transformative experience that empowers individuals to build a lasting legacy of their own.

What substance use disorder treatment programs do you offer?

We offer a full continuum of care including Medical Detox, Residential Stabilization, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. We treat addictions to alcohol, opioids, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and other substances.

How do you treat dual diagnosis / co-occurring disorders?

We provide integrated care that addresses both the substance use and mental health conditions simultaneously. Our program combines evidence-based therapies with psychiatric support to treat conditions like depression, anxiety, trauma, and eating disorders alongside addiction.

What types of therapies are used?

We use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma counseling, and psychodynamic therapy, alongside adventure therapy and holistic approaches.

Does this program use the 12-Steps?

Yes, 12-Step participation is encouraged but not required. We bring meetings in-house and also provide transportation to outside meetings for clients who wish to attend.

Is the program faith-based?

No, our program is clinically focused and not based on any specific faith, making it accessible to individuals of all backgrounds and belief systems.

How long has this facility been open?

The Cincinnati location of Legacy Healing Center opened in 2021.

What is the difference between inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment?

Our model is unique. We offer a clinical detox/stabilization program. Afterward, clients move to our PHP program with housing, which is our version of residential care. Here, they live in our supportive housing and attend treatment at our clinical campus daily. Outpatient (IOP) is a step-down with fewer hours, allowing for more independence.

Cost & Admission

What will my costs be for treatment?

Costs vary. Self-pay estimates are approximately $1,000 per day for detox and PHP. A private room is an extra $10,000 per month. IOP with housing is around $15,000-$18,000 per month. We recommend calling for a precise quote based on your insurance and clinical needs.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are a private facility that accepts most major PPO insurance plans, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and Humana. We do not accept Medicaid.

Do you provide detoxification services?

Yes, we offer a fully staffed, medically supervised detoxification program to ensure clients begin their recovery safely and comfortably.

Is Suboxone (MAT) permitted?

Yes, we support Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and allow clients to be on medications like Suboxone as part of their individualized treatment plan.

Daily Life & Rules

How long will I be there?

The average length of stay is typically between 27 and 45 days, which includes detox and the main phase of treatment. The exact duration depends on individual clinical needs.

What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?

Clients in our PHP/IOP programs live in comfortable, furnished houses or condos. Most rooms are shared with a roommate. A limited number of private rooms are available for an additional cost of about $10,000 per month.

Is this a closed/locked facility?

Our detox/stabilization phase is more structured and supervised. The PHP/IOP levels of care operate on a more open campus model, where clients can earn passes for off-site activities with permission. It is a voluntary program, and clients are not physically locked in.

Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?

Yes, smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas; products must be sealed on arrival. Cell phones and laptops are not allowed during the initial detox phase (10-14 days) but are permitted for clients in PHP and IOP.

What should I bring? What should I leave at home?

Bring: ID and insurance cards, appropriate and comfortable clothing (no drug/alcohol themes), new/unopened toiletries, and recovery-related reading materials.
Leave at home: Valuables, weapons, products containing alcohol (e.g., mouthwash), and any outside medications not approved by our medical team.

Support, Staff & Community

Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?

Our multidisciplinary care team includes doctors, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), nurses, and licensed counselors. Medical care is primarily delivered by NPs and nurses, with physician oversight, particularly at admission.

Who will be in treatment with me?

You will be in a community of co-ed adults (18+) from diverse backgrounds who have private insurance. We have specialized programs for veterans and first responders. The detox/residential unit has a 30-bed capacity, while PHP/IOP can serve up to 70 clients.

What is the family involvement and visitation policy?

Family involvement is a key part of recovery. We offer weekly family group therapy sessions. On-site family visitation is permitted once a client has progressed to the appropriate level of care and it is deemed clinically appropriate.

What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?

We provide comprehensive aftercare planning, which includes referrals to outpatient programs, therapists, and community support groups like AA/NA to ensure a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
