Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?

Yes, smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas. Personal electronics are restricted to promote focus on recovery. After an initial blackout period in detox, clients can use their phones, which are stored in lockers, twice a week for one hour each time.

What should I bring?

For rehab, you should bring a few essential items that promote comfort and support your recovery journey. This includes one to two weeks' worth of comfortable, casual, and modest clothing, along with a pair of supportive athletic shoes and shower shoes. Pack unopened, alcohol-free toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and a toothbrush and toothpaste. You'll also need a photo ID, insurance card, and any prescription medications in their original, labeled bottles. Many facilities allow personal comfort items such as a journal, books, or family photos to help you feel more at home during your stay.

What should I leave at home?

There are several items you should not bring to rehab to ensure a safe and distraction-free environment. This includes any items containing alcohol, such as mouthwash or perfume, as well as aerosol products and sharp objects. Leave all forms of drugs or alcohol, including non-prescription medications, at home. Most facilities also prohibit electronics with internet access or cameras, like laptops and tablets. Finally, avoid bringing expensive valuables, excessive cash, or any clothing that is overly revealing or references drugs, alcohol, or violence.
