How long will I be there?
Our core residential program has a typical length of stay of 28 days. Detox duration varies from 3-7 days based on individual needs.
What is the living situation like? Can I get my own room?
The living quarters are dorm-style. All rooms are shared with 1 to 3 roommates, and bathrooms are also shared. Private rooms are not available, as the shared living arrangement is part of the therapeutic community model.
Is this a closed/locked facility?
No, it is not a physically locked facility. Clients could theoretically walk off campus, but doing so is considered leaving Against Medical Advice (AMA) and results in immediate discharge from the program.
Can I use my phone/laptop? Is smoking allowed?
Yes, smoking and vaping are permitted in designated outdoor areas. No, personal electronics of any kind are not allowed. All devices are locked up upon admission and are not accessible during your stay.
What should I bring? What should I leave at home?
Bring: A week's worth of appropriate clothing (see dress code), personal ID and insurance card, current prescriptions, basic alcohol-free toiletries, and cigarettes if needed.
Leave at home: All electronics, makeup, over-the-counter medications, expensive jewelry, and any clothing that references drugs, alcohol, or violence.
Who provides care here? Are there psychiatrists on staff?
Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team that includes a Medical Doctor (MD), a psychologist who can prescribe medication, Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and licensed counselors.
Who will be in treatment with me?
The program is co-ed for adults (18+), with a capacity of about 15-30 people. However, men and women are housed in separate wings and participate in separate therapy groups, creating a gender-specific treatment experience.
What is the family involvement and visitation policy?
Family involvement is facilitated through scheduled family therapy sessions with a clinician. Casual visitation from family and friends is not permitted in order to maintain a structured and focused treatment environment for all clients.
What kind of aftercare and follow-up support is available?
After completing residential treatment, clients can step down to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for continued support. For clients living in a third-party sober living home, we can also provide transportation to our IOP facility.
