The Avera Addiction Care Center in Aberdeen is a 20-bed unit located within the Avera St. Luke's Hospital. This setting provides the highest level of medical safety, as clients have immediate access to comprehensive hospital services if any health concerns arise. The environment is structured and clinical, yet focused on compassionate care. Clients stay in shared rooms within the co-ed unit, fostering a sense of community among peers on the same journey.

This is not a locked unit. Treatment is voluntary, but clients are required to remain on the property throughout their stay.

Smoking and vaping are prohibited. The facility provides nicotine replacement therapies like gum and patches.
Personal cell phones are not allowed. Clients may use landline phones and computers during designated break times.
Family involvement is supported through scheduled visitation hours on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Family involvement is encouraged. On-site family visitation is allowed on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
